Hope everyone enjoyed Easter weekend!
I took off quite some time to be with family and I can already tell it will be hard to get back into the "groove" of work again after having so much time to myself (What can I say? I'm selfish!). However, it's nothing a little detoxing can fix. It's a monthly ritual of mine honestly. Nothing hits the reset button for me better than making sure I'm making a clean start when moving forward into the next month. It's the equivalent of a freshly cleaned desk or a relaxing manicure for me. Therefore, I thought I would share some of my favorite ways to detox, especially after the holidays. Is there really a better time?
I love bentonite clay masks! I've tried different clay masks before but it seemed like they didn't work for me. However, after doing some shopping on Amazon I decided to give this a try and I'm so glad I did. After using this for only a week I want to say I definitely noticed a difference in the blemishes I had that week. Only time will tell for the future (I'll update after one full month as well).
Calcium bentonite clay in powder form
Tea tree oil
What you do:
1. Mix together your bentonite clay, oatmeal, and water with the following ratio:
1 tablespoon bentonite clay : 1 tablespoon water : 1 teaspoon oatmeal
2. Add in 2-3 drops of tea tree oil and mix well.
3. Apply the mixture to your face in a thin, even coat and let it dry for 5-10 minutes. If you feel a pulling and tightening sensation, do not be alarmed – this means the mask is working! Wash your face with warm water and you’re good to go!
